The western side accommodates children bedrooms, guest room, bathroom and games/TV room. The master bedroom and study to the eastern side and the main living volume & court yard central to these wings. Its a minimalist house with spacious interior, the central core of the building placed a large open planning living room and it was divided into areas with clear function. The volume of this space was divided by a large fire place and level changes. This achieved a connection with others in the space but enabled the different activities to seem slightly separate which has proved very beneficial when the house is at capacity. Cantilevered framed structures anchored to the site with monolithic limestone walls and the combination of timber and stone is used to soften and relax the harder geometry of the building. Light filled spaces with a direct connection to garden courts and the natural bust surrounding the property. The home engages a range low energy use systems and passive solar design principles. It is equipped with a home automation system, collects all potable water, re-uses grey water, utilizes low energy & low water use fittings. An open external “fire pit” to enjoy the summer evenings. Soft casual furniture and finishes set the mood, a sanctuary from the hustle of city life.

Design by Marmol Radziner, Richard Neutra's Kaufmann House restoration that was built in 1946, the Harris Pool house is a minimalist and spacious pool-house with open plan design, represents a contemporary vision within a Modernist setting. The Harris Pool House provides a venue for family activities not accommodated by the original home, including a state-of-the-art audiovisual system, gym, and steam room. Features including sliding-glass panels and exterior steel canopies support Neutra's vision of life in the desert being a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living. Harris pool house could a great place for relaxing, gathering and sun bathing.
